Find Your Outdoor Crew
Discover clubs, activities and hands-on opportunities that connect you with other Golden Knights.
The outdoors are even better when you have people to explore them with. At Clarkson, getting outside can mean joining a club, growing your own food, building something with your SPEED team, conducting research or taking your learning somewhere completely new.
Whatever gets you out the door, there are plenty of ways to find your people along the way.

Take engineering beyond the classroom and into the field. Clarkson’s Timber Bridge SPEED team gives students the chance to design, build and test a full-scale timber bridge while gaining hands-on experience working as a team.
Take Your Learning Out There
Some of Clarkson’s best learning happens beyond four walls. Students can turn the outdoors into a classroom, a research site and even a workplace.
Research
Work alongside faculty investigating real environmental challenges in the North Country and beyond. Depending on your interests, that could mean studying ecosystems and wildlife, water quality, environmental engineering, sustainability or other issues affecting the world around us.
